As part of my MSc Games Computing I was tasked with creating a modern lighting system in DirectX11 using BRDF lighting and image based lighting. To make this able to be ran real time a few optimisations were needed such as the Schlick's approximation to make feasible looking Fresnel while not being computationally expensive.
